The 3rd Annual Stinner Summit

Thanks to all who attended the chilly but very productive 3rd Annual Stinner Summit held October 16th at the Malabar Farm State Park. An exciting project was selected to receive support from The Ben Stinner Endowment for Healthy Agroecosystems and Sustainable Communties. The project will focus on Facilitating Year Round Local Food Systems by bringing together experts and existing groups currently involved with successful year round growing to share information at a day long conference. The working group will also look at ways to strenghten networking and collaboration across the value chain.

Reply if you'd like to participate in this year's project

As Megan pointed out in her posts, the project chosen at the 3rd Annual Stinner Summit for the coming year is a workshop on shifting from seasonal to year-round local food systems in Ohio and the Midwest.  We had a number of volunteers for the organizing committee at the Summit.  The deal is that the AMP staff are there to help the organizing committee with the legwork, and the workshop will be supported with the Stinner Endowment funds.  If you would like to volunteer to serve on the organizing committee for this workshop, please email Megan at shoenfelt.9@osu.edu, and we'll be in touch about the first meeting.
