Story #3 The School Garden Nutrition Education Curriculum Project

On June 31, 2009, I attended the School Garden Nutrition Education Curriculum Project. The workshop was designed to place more agriculture into the curriculums of Michigan schools for each grade level. My role in the curriculum writing was to challenge the teachers to come up with creative ideas and give my student input in order to have strong curriculums.

Story #2 Allen Street Farmers Market

         On June 08th, 2009, I visited the Allen Street Farmers Market. The market had a nice atmosphere, and I really enjoyed my time there. There was a variety of vendors selling numerous goods. Most of the vendors owned farms, and sold fruits and vegetables. Other vendors sold items such as bread, flowers, jewelry, and food spreads.  There are tons of choices at that farmers market.
