Stealth Curriculum for Local Food Systems and Ag-bioenergy Business Collaborations
Embedding learning opportunities into the development of local food systems and ag-bioscience businesses and business clusters is one of several key strategies for enriching local and regional economies. Any local food system or ag-bioenergy development effort will require significant collaborative skill and effective use of a range of face-to-face and electronic communication tools. Assuming such a topic to be of general interest, this post introduces the concept of "Stealth Curriculum" to all site users.

Good morning all:
I'm wondering how familiar anyone in our group is with eXtension. I have been watching its development but not really involved. This afternoon I plan to join their 30-minute webinar on Moodle Courses. Another webinar that may be relevant to our work is Using Ning Groups to Improve Learning in Extension Programs, scheduled for 7/29. I'm thinking that there may be several possibilities for linkages and leverage:

Local Food Systems Web and Network Architecture
Yesterday, and todya, Paul Hartzog and I architected the basic building blocks of Local Food Systems network architecture.
The idea here is to be able to make very flexible and useful architecture, that can be easily added to over time, and that can be used both on localfoodsystems.org *and* elsewhere.
The system accepts multiple inputs, processes in many useful ways, and generates multiple outputs. The system is made entirely of open source software.
