Explore Your Business Idea
FOR ENTREPRENEURS: This page includes some first steps that you can take to advance a business idea. First, take a look at the assets you have to work with in your area, suitability of the land for agricultural production or the availability of existing businesses that could be suppliers or customers for example. You can also explore the supply chains that entrepreneurs in your area are developing or that existing businesses have described, often with interest in expanding or finding additional suppliers or customers. You may also want to explore the previous posts on this site to see where customer interests may lie.
FOR EDUCATORS AND BUSINESS SUPPORTERS: We recognize that many individuals and organizations are interested in supporting and assisting entrepreneurs. We encourage you as a supporter and educator to first explore the tools we’re offering, then use them in your work with entrepreneurs. In step 3, Join Forces and Collaborate, you have the opportunity to list the assistance you offer so that entrepreneurs can seek your help.
Explore and map what you have to work with (assets like soils, processors, wholesalers, etc.) and what business assistance (coaching, planning, etc.) you have in your community. The information on this map was added by people just like you, so if you know of additional business support or community assets please spend a few minutes entering them.
