Our 3rd Annual International Advanced Technology, Food and Agriculture Conference is coming together and our website, www.factny.org, is ready to handle your registrations. Rooms are available for $89 per night at the Doubletree- 585-475-1510
DEC 3-4 at the Doubletree in Rochester, NY.
The International Advanced Technology, Food and Agriculture Conference will build on upon the preceding conferences in 2007 and 2008. In 2009, the conference will pay special attention to specialty crops and will bring together representative from many different specialty crop producers and processors. Joining them will be representatives from small to large technology companies and research centers who share an interest in investigating the challenges within specialty crops. The unique feature of this conference is that people, who never would have crossed paths otherwise, meet and start to solve problems!
The conference structure will first allow participants to see the big picture about specialty crops and their challenges and the role that new technologies might play.
Participants will then break out into smaller groups to discuss more specific topics. The first session will cover specialty crops divided by commodity; the second session will be divided into topics concerning technology and specialty crops.
The event will wrap up on Friday with presentations of break-out group reports and a session focused on Retail and Branding.
There will be a small trade show and plenty of networking time.
