Dr. Ian Blount of Coalesence offered an entrepreneurs' prospective on agriculture supply chains and local as well as international niche markets. He suggested more operational excellence and lean manufacturing is needed in agricultural production. To support a new agbioscience business, OSU's business, agriculture, engineering and law schools could / can / do provide affordable guidance. He is excited about the potential for small to mid-size farms to be flexible, change quickly and even partner with supply chains but not become a "franchise farm".
