Bi-monthly get-together of Northeast Ohio’s food and beverage industry. Our speaker is Wil Hemker, project executive at the University of Akron Research Foundation. Wil focuses on the commercialization of new product and business development based on novel technologies. His expertise is matching technologies to entrepreneurs by identifying value propositions. A life-long industrial R&D problem solver and innovator, with experience in food product development, he has a BS in chemistry from Bowling Green State University, and an MS in food science from The Ohio State University. The University of Akron Research foundation serves as a regional focal point for growing technology-based businesses by connecting industry academia, and venture capital to facilitate the transfer of technology to private companies, create wealth, and advance Northeast Ohio.
