Northeast Ohio Food Chain Network
The Northeast Ohio Food Chain Network meets Thursday, September 17, 2009, 8:00-9:30am at Buehler’s Fresh Foods, Noble Pond-Jackson Township, 7138 Fulton Drive NW Canton, OH 44718 Please join us for this bi-monthly get-together of Northeast Ohio’s food and beverage industry. Our speaker will be Bob Buehler and he will be sharing the Buehler’s story with us. Founded in 1929 as a single store in New Philadelphia, Buehler’s now has thirteen locations and it is a leader in looking for opportunities to source Ohio grown or raised foods. This is part of their philosophy of supporting their communities meeting customers’ desires for freshness, and reducing transportation costs. A third generation family member, Bob grew up in the business and actually began by growing green peppers and selling them to the stores. He has served as vice president since 2004. We hope you will join us on September 17th to learn more about the role that Buehler’s plays in Northeast Ohio’s food chain. A full breakfast buffet and presentation is just $10, payable at the door.To register: Call Bob Cohen at (419) 525-1614 or e-mail bcohen@braintreepartners.org. Please RSVP by September 15.
The NEO Food Chain Network promotes Ohio’s food and beverage industry, and includes participation by growers, processors, packers, distributors, service providers, investors, buyers, retailers, and everyone up and down the food chain.
