"Quality Forage for Animals: Economics and Production" Annual meeting of OFGC
Ohio Forage and Grasslands Council's annual meeting will be February 13, 2009 in Reynoldsburg, OH at the Ohio Department of Agriculture. With more farmers looking at forage based feeding systems for their livestock, the OFGC annual meeting is a good place to learn how to produce, store and utilize Ohio forages with our challenging climate. The cost for the conference is $40 for non members and $30 for members. Dr. Neal Martin and Dr. Geoff Brink from the US Forage Dairy Research Center in Madison, Wisconsin are the featured presenters. There will be a producer panel and concurrent sessions by forage researchers discussing their projects and outcomes.
OFGC's mission is to enhance the profitabilty of Ohio farmers through the use of forage and grasslands resources. They provide the opportunity to interact with other producers, forage and livestock educators and researchers.
